"J" is for "Jaime": The Whistle & Bango Initial Bangle
I don't know why, but I'm a sucker for anything that's monogrammed or that has the potential to be monogrammed. Narcissistic, perhaps, but I've had my eye on Whistle & Bango's beautiful enamel initial bangles for quite a while now. When I tried it on at Stylist Live a few weeks back after chatting to the founders Ania and Rosie, I was won over by the pretty, shiny wrist candy and the delightful way it sounded when jangling against my rose gold watch.
Originally designed with postcodes in mind (that's a thing in London, btw, postcode pride), Whistle & Bango's bracelets are made from materials designed to withstand everyday wear and tear: carbon-rich stainless steel plate is filled with enamel then hand-painted with gloss before being plated with gold or silver, resulting in a beautifully polished finish.
Aside from sitting prettily your wrist, there's also a philanthropic cause behind the enamel bangles: a percentage of every sale goes to The Single Homeless Project, which seeks to prevent homelessness and promote social inclusion.
I love the simplicity of the Whistle & Bango bangle; it goes with everything but adds a chic touch to all my outfits. I'm considering adding another to my collection - one with my London postcode engraved on one side and my U.S. hometown zipcode engraved on the other. The only problem is picking a color!
Whistle & Bango is offering Angloyankophile readers an exclusive discount of 20% off your bangle of choice: just enter JAIME20 at check out and enjoy! (p.s. a bespoke bangle with a significant date or set of initials would make a great Christmas present!)
